Impact Grasses is a large production nursery specialising in growing ornamental grasses for a variety of different applications.

Impact Grasses is part of the Alpine Nurseries group and was acquired by Alpine Nurseries from Tango Trees and Grasses in September 2008. Alpine Nurseries has nurseries at Dural in Sydney and at Alstonville in the Northern Rivers region of NSW. Alpine has more than 100 staff members and is one of Australia's largest nursery businesses.

Impact Grasses holds a licence to propagate and grow the complete range of Ozbreed grasses and Foliage First plants. The grass licence extends from virocells and virotubes to 140mm pots. Impact Grasses also grows a broad selection of native wetland and drought tolerant grasses and is skilled at growing local provenance grasses. Mother stock of many grasses is located onsite allowing efficient seed collection.

Impact Grasses specialises in Contract Growing large quantities for specific projects but also has a broad network of supply nurseries that enable it to procure stock to supplement Impact Grasses stock.

The nursery is located on a 16 hectare site in Loganholme, South East Queensland, at the junction of the M1 and the Logan Motorway. It is centrally located between Brisbane and the Gold Coast which are both only 25 minutes away.

A plan to substaintially grow the business is in place. This plan is based on expanding propagation and growing areas and also holding and despatch areas that will enable the nursery to be used to hold stock for the distribution to Alpine's other nurseries in Sydney and Alstonville.

A site enhancement program is also in progress that will include display beds for the plants grown by Impact Grasses.
