Did You Know? - Impact Grasses onsite consultation service...

Impact Grasses offers, as part of our service, an onsite consultancy. The aim of this is to provide the best possible plant choice to suit our clients needs.

We work closely with our clients to aid in choosing the right species, the best spacing, water requirements and the optimal maintenance for the project at hand

Impact Grasses at Sanctuary Cove

This service has been running since we started in October and to date we have been working closely with Sanctuary Cove Golf course-we profile this project below. Other consultative projects include Lakeland's Golf Course and Roma Street Parklands.

Evelyn Blaikie, our Production Manager, has a vast depth of knowledge of all types of grasses, with over a decade of specialised grass experience. Ben Habershon, Impact's nursery manager, complements Evelyn's knowledge base with years of practical landscape and nursery experience. Both Ben and Evelyn are able to offer expert advice on the right species to plant, the best possible growing conditions and the irrigation requirements for all planting scenarios whether it is a wetland, coastal or dry-land installation.

In particular Impact Grasses is working closely with Sanctuary Cove Golf and Country club in the re-development of "The Palms" golf course which is due for completion in 2010.

Site inspections were carried out and recommendation of species was then put forward. After discussion with the Landscape Architect and the approval given we set about growing the species needed and staggering production to have the required numbers for each hole ready in the specified timeframe.

Finding the right grass for any application can be tricky so this service extends to any trade customer looking for guidance in choosing the best plant for the job or simply ideas to extend their plant palette.
