SAVANNA BLUE ™ Lomandra filiformis 'LMF500'View Overview & Recommendations for OzBreed Grasses General Description: A compact, highly ornamental, blue form of the tough Lomandra filiformis. It’s striking blue foliage creates superb colour and texture contrast, throughout the garden. It grows to approximately 30cm tall x 30cm wide. Position: Savanna Blue tolerates full sun or part shade and will tolerate heavy frosts and drought conditions. It performs well in heavy clay to free draining soils. Mulch type: It lives well in all mulch types, but for other reasons such as weed control, and better drought benefits, we recommend mulch that is comprised of hardwood chips or other chunky wood material with no more than 5% fines by volume (preferably zero fines). Care: Water as required to keep the plant healthy for the first 8 to 13 weeks. After this irrigation is optional (not required) for the cooler areas of NSW, but for hotter dryer areas such as Western Sydney, and inland areas, occasional watering in drought periods maybe Uses: Savanna Blue’s striking blue foliage creates superb colour and texture contrast throughout the garden. It is ideal for mass planting in garden beds and borders. Planted on mass it provides an excellent ground cover. Once established this plant should require low to no irrigation.
